Air Sample Analysis

Non-Culturable Air Sample Mould Analysis

Oceanic Laboratory Initiative (OLI) specializes in non-culturable mould analysis, employing advanced techniques to provide accurate and confident results. Our expertise is backed by adherence to the industry-standard ASTM D7391 – Standard Test Method for Categorization and Quantification of Airborne Fungal Structures in an Inertial Impaction Sample by Optical Microscopy.

Air Sample Analysis

Utilizing direct microscopy techniques, we analyse samples obtained from spore traps and slit-type impaction cassettes. Our methods align with ASTM standards for precise assessment.

Sampling Cassettes

We work with popular cassette brands, including Allergeno-D and Air-O-Cell, which efficiently capture fungal particulates of various sizes for thorough analysis and identification.

Common Fungal Genus Types

Our comprehensive reports cover a range of common water damage-related mould genus types, such as Aspergillus, Penicillium, Stachybotrys, Chaetomium, and more. In addition, we identify other valuable genus types, including Ascospores, Basidiospores, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Alternaria, and many others.

ASTM Standard Compliance

Adhering to the ASTM D7391 Standard, Oceanic Laboratory Initiative (OLI) reports on over 20 different genus organisms in fungal structures per cubic meter (fs/m³), providing a thorough and detailed analysis.

Streamlined Data Presentation

Our reports not only conform to the ASTM Standard but also present data in an elegant and simplified manner, ensuring ease of interpretation without introducing any bias. We empower consultants to make well-informed professional judgments.

Artificial Intelligence Analysis

At Oceanic Laboratory Initiative (OLI), we’ve harnessed the incredible power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to elevate the precision and efficiency of our air sample analysis. It is an optional service that may be offered outside of any expectation to be performed using the ASTM D7391 – Standard Test Method for Categorization and Quantification of Airborne Fungal Structures in an Inertial Impaction Sample by Optical Microscopy.

Our commitment to quality includes a validation and editing process of the software outputs and is performed by our team of highly qualified analysts. Before any report is issued, our experts carefully review and fine-tune the results generated by AI, ensuring the utmost precision and reliability in our findings getting some of the best of both worlds in the final report.

It’s worth further clarifying that the AI analysis, while powerful, does not adhere to conventional recognized standards for analysis like the ASTM D7391. This type of standard was developed for human processes, manually operated equipment, and personal analyst capacities, clarifying the standard operating procedure for this type of analysis. AI does not conform to these constraints, yet still offering a level of analysis that would be that has defensibility with our team proofing every sample.
